Why work with us?
Dave Roberts, Founder, Tomorrow Platforms
Before moving into AI and technology, Dave was a headteacher who led significant school improvement and helped teams put new systems and ways of working into practice. He is comfortable working with people at every level, from frontline staff to senior executives, understanding their different priorities and explaining complex ideas clearly. He brings people into the process, builds their confidence and helps them put change into practice.
He brings that leadership experience to practical AI and data work. As co-founder, AI Systems Architect and Head of Research at Ortelias, he builds systems as well as shaping how they are used. His doctoral research at Leeds University Business School examines how organisations adopt AI and how it changes people’s work.
You work with Dave directly. He can help you understand the problem, build a useful solution and support your team as they learn to use it. The scope is agreed with you at each stage.
Before you say yes.
Where does our data go?
Before we access your information, we agree what we need, which systems will process or store it, who can access it and how long it will be kept. We use your information only for the agreed work and set out any sharing with external services in advance.
Who owns what you build?
Your data remains yours. Once paid in full, you own the agreed work created specifically for your business.
We retain ownership of our reusable tools and components. Where these form part of your system, your build price includes a continuing licence to use, maintain and adapt them for the agreed purpose, including through another supplier. Ending optional support does not end that licence.
We agree ownership, handover and any separate software, hosting or subscription costs before work starts.
Do we need technical staff?
You don’t need an in-house AI specialist. We work with people who understand your business and agree the time needed for discovery, testing and learning to use the system.
What if it doesn't help?
A Discovery Day may recommend that you do not build anything. Before a build starts, we agree what it should achieve, how we will test it and how we will assess the benefits. We test it with your team before handover.
How long, and what does it cost?
Discovery costs £1,000 per day. We recommend starting with one day and agree any additional time and cost with you before proceeding. Your plan follows within five working days, with a separately priced proposal for any build. We agree the build’s scope, price and timescale before it starts. Tomorrow Platforms is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Any travel costs are agreed before the day is booked.
Do we have to pay for ongoing support?
No. You can take the plan or completed build and manage the next steps yourself. If you want ongoing support, we agree its scope and fee separately. Any hosting, software or subscription costs are identified before work starts.
